This Privacy Policy governs the NewsDhara mobile application and official developer website (https://sbsphere.online/) operated by SB Sphere. We respect your privacy and are committed to full transparency regarding data protection.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with the NewsDhara application or our website, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • User Account Data: Name, email address, profile picture when you sign in via Google Sign-In or Email Registration.
  • Location Information: Coarse/approximate geographic location (city or district level) strictly used to provide localized Maharashtra weather forecasts and regional news updates. Precise continuous GPS background tracking is not used.
  • Device & Telemetry Information: Operating system version (Android), device model, anonymous installation identifier, and crash diagnostic logs to optimize performance and prevent crashes.
  • User Interactions: Bookmarked articles, reward points balance, and voluntary feedback submissions.

2. Third-Party Services & SDK Disclosures

NewsDhara incorporates trusted Google and industry-standard third-party developer SDKs to deliver core functionalities:

  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to deliver banner, native, medium rectangle, interstitial, and rewarded video ads. Google AdMob may process the mobile Advertising ID (GAID) to provide personalized or contextual advertisements in compliance with Google Play Policies.
  • Firebase Authentication: Secure authentication handling for Google Sign-In and email login credentials.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM HTTP v1): Used to deliver timely breaking news notifications.
  • Google Play Services: Core infrastructure verification, App Integrity, and in-app updates.

3. Google AdMob & Advertising Standards

We strictly comply with Google AdMob & AdSense Publisher Policies, EU User Consent Policy (GDPR / IAB TCF v2.2), and US State Privacy Laws (CCPA/CPRA):

  • Non-Personalized Ads Option: Users can opt out of personalized tracking in their device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
  • No Encouragement of Invalid Activity: We strictly prohibit automated clickers, click-exchange rings, or forced clicks.
  • Rewarded Ads Transparency: Rewarded video ads are strictly user-initiated. Points earned are solely for in-app ad-free reading periods.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

NewsDhara is a general-audience news application intended for individuals aged 13 and older (or 16 and older in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from or target behavior-based ads to children under 13.

5. Instant Account & Data Deletion

You have full ownership of your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated records permanently at any time:

  • In-App Deletion: Open NewsDhara, navigate to Profile > Account Management > Delete Account, and confirm.
  • Email Request: Send an email from your registered address to support@sbsphere.online with the subject "Account Deletion Request". All associated data (profile, points, bookmarks) will be permanently purged within 48 business hours.

6. Data Security & Retention

We maintain industry-standard encrypted HTTPS communication channels, role-based database authentication, and tokenized API authorizations to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of personal data.
